Claire Duffy's blog about public speaking and communication (in real life). Speak well, do well!
I love to run tutorials and workshops for young speakers. I’m very proud to have national and international standard public speakers and debaters among my students.
I convene the Archdale Debating Competition for Girls, I am Co-ordinator of Speech Communications and I teach debating at The Scots College in Sydney. I run workshops and coaching sessions in other Sydney schools.
I’ve coached or adjudicated for most school speaking competitions: Rostrum Voice of Youth, Multicultural Perspectives, the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Award, The Lawrence Campbell Oratory Competition , and The Sydney Morning Herald Plain English Speaking Award. The Arts Unit of the NSW Department of Education and Training is the place to go for more detailed information on most of these.
